It's like a dyno for your computer :highfive:

8 Mb Cable (Comcast) :D

*EDIT* That's slow. I'll get a true result tomorrow (right now we have the DAoC MMORPG accounts running sucking at the bandwidth) :p

I scored lower on the up as I figured but comcast has come a long way from their first 1MB lines.

RCN still owned in my area with 12MB lines.

17373 DOWN/362 UP [pathetic]

Ooops first time I used Washington, DC.

Second time on New York, NY
22732 DOWN/ 361 UP [still pathetic]

On wifi to my Cable internet I get 1750down/354up.

But also, I'm in the middle of the ocean... So that may have something to do with a little bit of speed reduction... lol

11-26-06, 04:02 AM
15,454 kbps down
1,343 kbps up

24Mbps ADSL2+ service but I'm too far form the exchange (1.2km) to get the full 24 which is only possible within say 200-300 feet...

Lindsay Cadillac, should be one of if not the fastest. I'll run my current pipe, and then again in two weeks when I get an upgrade :D

Download Speed: 2825 kbps (353.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 720 kbps (90 KB/sec transfer rate)

Here it is (download) with Verizon's speed test http://infospeed.verizon.net/

2909.1Kbits (363.6KBytes)

I usually see 3850'ish down and 250 up. I use the three bottom servers because I feel they provide me with a good picture of network performance over a wide geographical area.

I pay for 4000/256. Much of the time my speed sucks and I get almost nothing.

My cable company sucks ass and they won't fix a problem that I've had for year. They say nothings wrong even when I send the screen shots of me getting 100k down and 2 k up. They just tell me that the system is overloaded. Well then maybe the bill will be underloaded next month.

It could be the site you're using to download off.

I've always used ATI.com to bench my actual download. There servers tend to have little bottlenecks and I can hit a 1.4mbpersec download easily.

11-26-06, 11:28 AM
Average is 12,554 down and 1876 up.

Optimum Online.

Damn man, what's a good speed for you?!

11-26-06, 02:54 PM
3637/547 with a "very low" signal coming from my POS wireless internet.

11-26-06, 03:27 PM
Hey if that site is like all the others you can trick it and get downlaod speeds faster than anything you can comprehend. on pcpitstop I got 876932kbs. download speeds....right as soon as the test is finished before it displays results retest.....most sites you can do this with. since its already downloaded in the ram it will just grab it there and not redownload it but calculate it as download speed. I freaked out when I first got 6Mb speed and then tested it.

11-26-06, 03:50 PM
