Recently, the car (95 SDV with a 4.9) started to behave wrongly.

First thing I noticed was a slight, occational hesitation while accelerating. Then it progressively worsened over a few days, so when the car just gets into 4th + VCC-lock-up at about 44 mph with light throttle, the car shakes a bit. Feels like the enigne is missing a bit.

I checked fuel pressure and everything seems to be fine. I have fairly new ignition parts, so I started to check spark plugs. One looks a bit fouled, but others (I was able to check only 4 so far) look fine. After I changed those 4 plugs, the car runs much better, but I still feel that it is not running right, but the difference is not significant.

So, these are the back ground information... When I checked the engine, I just noticed that the EGR solenoid is making constant buzz sound, while the key ON, but the engine not running. Is it normal? Is it somehow related (I believe it could) to the problems I described above?

No buzzing on mine.

Yep, it makes noise when energized. You should put your ear real close to hear that. Sounds like the noise high voltage makes when leaking. I am not sure my solenoid is fine though.

BUT, should I conclude mine is NG or GOOD? I will connect a gauge and see if the solenoid is leaky or not. I feel that the EGR is little leaky, making my idle a bit rougher. Sooo, please anyone else report how your EGR solenoid is doing when you have time.
