Exactly, they would not look good on a Brougham the profile is way to low. I've got 255/50/17's on mine and I think it looks great but anything lower would not. BCs71 11-28-06, 02:22 PM 255/45-17 on here I like em', they look much better in person. http://www.primergarage.com/garage/images/g_car_284.jpg caddycruiser 11-28-06, 05:59 PM 245/40's are approx. 3.24" smaller overall and 255/40's about 2.92" smaller...on a car as large as the Fleetwood, that's just too much of a downgrade in size, IMHO. Shorter sidewalls are likely better for handling, but it's still going down quite a bit in size vs. even stock. Hence, why I so love my (and rarely done) 275-50's. About as wide as they can be on a stock car, but with the 50 sidewall, also virtually a perfect diameter match to stock--and still a lower sidewall for crisp handling. A lot of people, particularly in the Impala SS crowd, don't like them because they actually do look a bit large on something like a stock Impala, but I must say they look, fit, and perform PERFECTLY on my boat of a Fleetwood. Now, back on topic...even though that size would be wrong, that's still an AWESOME price for those tires:thumbsup: caddycruiser 11-28-06, 06:06 PM 245/40's are approx. 3.24" smaller overall and 255/40's about 2.92" smaller...on a car as large as the Fleetwood, that's just too much of a downgrade in size, IMHO.
