I know people are going to ask... that box is about 6 cu ft. 49x22x24

based on dimensions You provided, this box is almost 15 cu ft.
here is the formula that may help You
A x B x C divided by 1728

Thank you for pointing that out... i think i screwed up. each sub needs 1.5 cu ft. i did 18"x18"x18" x 4. I should have done 12"x12"x12"x6. I dont understand why they arent the same #

so yeah i screwed up... i'm just gonna lose 2 ft off my bed and just fillin 9 cu ft of cotton. Thanks for pointing it out for me GMgeek.

those are gonna be loud for sure, and man those will hurt.

You shouldn't fill it with cotton it's gonna trick the subs into thinking their in a bigger box. Fill it with expanding foam and then take a container or something that you know the volume of and use packing peanuts to determine how many cubic feet you have then if you need to add more foam or carve some foam away. It's definitely gonna pound:thepan: . What amp are you using?

MB Quart RAA1000 ... its pretty much a higher end rockford power 1000. 2 of those. I'm rebuilding it so it'll be about 10 cu ft and i'll fill it in with foam . I didnt know cotton makes it think that its a bigger box. How does that work?

I'd like to know how the cotton makes the speakers think that the box is bigger too... I'm doing my system on my EXT & that would be a big help.

1 lb of poly cotton will increase .25 cu.ft volume of the box

The cotton holds in extra heat. I would not use alot of it.
