Prepare for the attack. 96Fleetwood 11-23-06, 08:12 AM Low and sexy, just the way I like it  TWasArroundHere 11-23-06, 09:17 AM I like the light blue roof as opposed to the dark blue ones that are allways on those Benzilla 11-23-06, 06:32 PM I like it. You kept it classy without going over the top like many others have. Only thing I don't like it how the front is lower when laid out, I like 'em to sit level, or the back slightly lower. I'm aware you have juice(duh), but just saying. Love the top. :) Adam 11-23-06, 07:09 PM nice bro  ! she's beautiful! Red_October_7000 11-24-06, 03:23 AM You must be REALLY scared of finding the battery flat... Nice looking, very clean. Love the wire wheels but those tires are just a touch small such that they look lost in the wheel arches. The car also looks just a tad bit low. Low is good until you look like you'll scrape off critical components... Barrister_07101 11-24-06, 11:05 AM Clean man .. clean. Good colors. Not a lowrider myself .. but looking good sitting low. Respect given. PS I'm in Jersey too. Adam 11-24-06, 05:19 PM You must be REALLY scared of finding the battery flat... Nice looking, very clean. (Regarding a lowrider on Mexican rims, that's a compliment from me.) cadillac king 11-24-06, 11:46 PM Could be worse. (Regarding a lowrider on Mexican rims, that's a compliment from me.) Damn homie thats some real racist shit right there(mexican rims) i guees since my fleetwood is on 24"(****** rims as you would call them right?)its a piece of shit to?A compliment from you,who the **** died and made you god?Anyhow caddy kid you have a nice lac,**** this hater i have a 93 fleet on 4 pumps also.So yes there is another lowrider in the house also. Red_October_7000 11-25-06, 12:49 AM Damn homie thats some real racist shit right there(mexican rims) i guees since my fleetwood is on 24"(African American rims as you would call them right?)its a piece of shit to?A compliment from you,who the **** died and made you god?Anyhow caddy kid you have a nice lac,**** this hater i have a 93 fleet on 4 pumps also.So yes there is another lowrider in the house also. I don't see how the word "Mexican" is racist. Mexican is the propper name for people and things of Mexico, including things popular there. Besides, Mexican is nationality, not a race. Let's not get so uptight that we can't use the propper name for a country as a describing factor in something we don't like. Hell, at least he capitalized Mexican whereas you apparently stopped absorbing knowledge about the English language after you learned how to curse. 95fleet 11-25-06, 01:16 AM mexican rims? i thought daytons came from ohio...oh well bro dont worry about some peoples opinions on here, your caddy is very clean...heres a picof minehttp://i5.tinypic.com/20pt1k5.jpg Red_October_7000 11-25-06, 01:22 AM Now that one is beautiful. Cadillacs were made for white walls. 509Rider 11-25-06, 04:02 AM I don't see how the word "Mexican" is racist. Hell, at least he capitalized Mexican whereas you apparently stopped absorbing knowledge about the English language after you learned how to curse. To you calling wire wheels mexican my not sound bad but to people who are into the lowriding lifestyle will take offence to it, I myself have had to check many people for saying ignorant stuff like that, lowriding to me is the most imporatant thing in my life, my sound stupid to you but it is, this is coming from a white guy who was born and raised in Idaho. I have gone through this many times on here I have been a member for a long time and love caddies thats what its all about. davesdeville 11-25-06, 05:13 AM Damn homie thats some real racist shit right there(mexican rims) i guees since my fleetwood is on 24"(African American rims as you would call them right?)its a piece of shit to?A compliment from you,who the **** died and made you god?Anyhow caddy kid you have a nice lac,**** this hater i have a 93 fleet on 4 pumps also.So yes there is another lowrider in the house also. It's a descriptive term used to differentiate between those and regular stock style spoke rims. Now if I'd said stupid beaner rims or something like that THEN that would be racist and you'd have a point. I guess you're one of the easily offended types then, so I'll call them "the kind of rims that are spokes but aren't like factory spokes." As for 24s, there's only one kind of 24s, so I'd call them 24s. I don't care if people talk about my angry white people music (I was listening to some weird german rock on the radio and heard that one today.) I really don't take offense to that. I'm just sick of the double standard. 96Fleetwood 11-25-06, 08:39 AM mexican rims? i thought daytons came from ohio...oh well bro dont worry about some peoples opinions on here, your caddy is very clean...heres a picof minehttp://i5.tinypic.com/20pt1k5.jpg My god, your Fleetwood is gorgeous! I need some 17X8 Dayton wires with Vogues! cadillac king 11-25-06, 09:02 AM I don't see how the word "Mexican" is racist. Your a dumbass, like my mans said daytons are made in ohio.Have you ever been to mexico?Lowriding begin in southern cali its not that popular in mexico.Next time get your shit right before you open your mouth cadillac king 11-25-06, 09:06 AM It's a descriptive term used to differentiate between those and regular stock style spoke rims. HotRodSaint 11-25-06, 01:52 PM It never fails. :bigroll: The lowrider post comes first. :) Then the warning that there will be an attack on all lowriders. :stirpot: Then when any criticism of the car is made, it is turned into a full fledged racial war. :thepan: Welcome to modern America, where the ability to find offense is now an art form. 509Rider 11-25-06, 02:08 PM It never fails. :bigroll: The lowrider post comes first. :) Then the warning that there will be an attack on all lowriders. :stirpot: Then when any criticism of the car is made, it is turned into a full fledged racial war. :thepan: Welcome to modern America, where the ability to find offense is now an art form. :thumbsup:I agree its stupid, but I never say anything negative about anybodys cadillacs, I never brought up race, I just think its stupid to say shit like that and yes it will piss people off, and yes they are called knockoffs or wire wheels. Red_October_7000 11-25-06, 10:19 PM Your a dumbass, like my mans said daytons are made in ohio.Have you ever been to mexico?Lowriding begin in southern cali its not that popular in mexico.Next time get your shit right before you open your mouth I'M a dumbass? You can't even use the correct "You're". I never said anything about the rims themselves, I always call 'em wire wheels because that's what they are and I actually LIKE wire wheels. All I said was that "Mexican" is not even a race, nevermind a racist word. Please; you've already revealed that you're not Mexican so the only offensive thing I see here is you flying off the handle when you see something you like (wire wheels) associated with Mexicans! Just for the record I like both cars in this thread and the second one exemplifies my idea of a good size for a "small" wheel/tire combo. Lowlyfe84 11-27-06, 05:59 PM That is a clean lac you've got there. Smart choice to add the accumulators, they give back quite a bit of the ride. Whether your a hotrodder, lowrider, or a stock purist, I don't see where it matters as long as you don't drive a f'n honda!:cookoo: Keep up the good work, the lac is killin em'. bicentennialcadillac 11-27-06, 10:58 PM Whether your a hotrodder, lowrider, or a stock purist, I don't see where it matters as long as you don't drive a f'n honda! Quoted for truth. BCs71 11-28-06, 01:55 PM Low and sexy, just the way I like it  That's exactly what I was thinking. :highfive: urbanski 11-28-06, 02:12 PM It never fails. :bigroll: The lowrider post comes first. :) Then the warning that there will be an attack on all lowriders. :stirpot: Then when any criticism of the car is made, it is turned into a full fledged racial war. :thepan: Welcome to modern America, where the ability to find offense is now an art form. nicely put but i'm sure the hating will stop now... wont it gang caddykid66 12-05-06, 01:28 AM Thanks for all the compliments guys. Be sure to check out my other caddy also.. Id appreciate your feedback or any ideas..http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/rwd-19xx-1985-deville-fleetwood-1985/90992-1984-caddy-coupe-deville-spokes-posing.html ShadowLvr400 12-05-06, 03:29 PM Well, everyone knows my bias towards the hot rod side vs the lowrider look. But I will say, rather clean. The only thing I don't understand, with all the variety in custom hot rodding wheels, why are so many low riders on wire spoke wheels? Is there a particular reason for that? I'd like to see some smooth dish wheels on a slammed vehicle sometime I think. But I may be wrong. Red_October_7000 12-05-06, 04:19 PM I'd have to say because wire wheels are just classic -they look good on anything, just about, they don't scream "HEY! LOOK AT ME!" but rather subtly say "I'm cool...", and because for a long time Caddies came with them factory. Nothing beats wire wheels, just like nothing beats a Cadillac. :) It's a match made in heaven. Benzilla 12-05-06, 04:26 PM Right, and to have the right "look" they can't be just any wires, 13s and 14s are the size that counts. It's not meant to look factory, but it is a look. I used to be really into lowriders, not the full show, chromed out, covered in murals ones; but the nice & simply clean street sweepers like this one. Red_October_7000 12-06-06, 02:48 PM 13s and 14s just don't look right to me. They look awkward on such big cars. But that is just a personal taste thing. I don't care for the "full show, chromed out, covered in murals" look either. There is much more going for a car that is subtle than one that you can hear even with the key off. A little polish, a little chrome, some nice wheels and white walls, and you've got something beautiful. Adam 12-06-06, 10:38 PM 13s and 14s just don't look right to me. A little polish, a little chrome, some nice wheels and white walls, and you've got something beautiful. which is just fine. lowriding has always been 13s and 14s. murals and paint and all that have been part of the culture for DECADES. how much do you know about lowriding? alot of people think it started in the late 70s early 80s but it actually started in the 30s. hot-rodding and lowriding are the two oldest forms of car customization. | |
