Hey.. i was pulling in the driveway in my girlfriends car and noticed that my headlamp had some fogging.. i was planning on putting strobes in but seeing that there is already fog in there i was wondering if anyone knows if this is normal or not.. i did not see any water or anything.. i know that both my parents have fogging in theirs but their trucks are like 4+ years old with 70,000 miles+ on their vehicles.. Mine is like 8 months with 2800 miles.. anyone know if the dealer will replace or if no matter what i do it will always fog? thanks

The dealer will warranty it. They'll dry it & reseal it. It'll probably happen again though, but you'll be good for a little while. Since your truck is so new I'd go to the dealer & demand an entirely new head light assembly. I have an 02 EXT & my drivers head light has fogging too. It seems like it happens sooner or later on these trucks. Mine is still under factory warranty & they told me they'd dry it & reseal it, that's it. If it comes back more than one more time then they'll replace it....
you could also clean it out and seal it yourself.
The instructions for taking it apart are on the forums.

My dealership has never tried to clean and dry them---They get replaced---I also just searched on GM's Si2000 and cannot come up with any approved procedure. The ones I have seen, actually have clouded plastic, and has nothing to do with moisture. I would not accept anything but replacement.
Hope I helped a little, Supercrew632
