Just wanted to say thanks to you all guys for bringing to my attention the Goodyear credit solution which saved me 800 bucks for my new tires. Had new tires put on today F1 GSD3's 245/45/18 in front and 275/40/18 on rear. They look and feel great. Thanks again.

As far as all complaints I have heard on the Corsa exhaust marbles in a can sound.I have also had this problem but in the midst of doing a couple of tire burnouts on my old tires one side of my exhaust towards the middle came disconnected from its torca clamp right out of its sleeve. During inspection I was able to slide exhaust back in and tried to retighten but was as tight as I could possibly get it and was still loose in its slleve not clamping properly. After totally loosening the torca clamp and retightening again exhaust was fixed and so was that horrible marble in a can noise during rev up while in neutral. I don't know if this is the fix but my noise is gone. Seems to me just because all clamps were tight doesn't mean they were actuall doing there job. Just an observation try it it may help you.

I can't get my clamps tight enough anymore to get rid of the sound, which is why I'm gonna weld that sucker. I think the bands slowly and continuously stretch over time with the heat cycles. Good luck.

Rather than start a new thread, just wanted to echo Redline V's sentiments and thank everyone for the heads up on Goodyear Credit.
I got new bfg KDW2s today (this is a long story, as the credit is just for Goodyear or Dunlop tires, but since I wanted the GSD3s and they are not available anywhere in the US, supposedly due to the Goodyear mnfg union plant strike?! and they had a set of KDWs so we worked something out) and it all worked out in my favor:thumbsup:
For those that will need to do this in the future, here are the highlights:
Call the Goodyear Customer svc # (see a previous thread)
Get the file/case # and take it to one of their "recommended" shops
The credit is a "one time" thing, both the cust. svc rep and shop mgr told me this without me having to ask.
They will send the 4 tires back to Goodyear, so I could not mount one on the spare rim I had...oh well
You may want them to check the alignment and align it, they included this in the exchange for me, and the alignment is good for 12mo/12,000mi
Do it before 12/6 and get the additional $40 gift card from Goodyear...not sure this matters to anyone, but if you're thinking about doing now, you can get $40 more as a result of the giftcard...
Thanks again to everyone for the info!

SS exhaust is know to expand as it gets hot. You guys are probably experincing this and the clamp will expand with the pipe. When it cools it will shrink back down, thus you clamps loosen up.

My question is:

Why is everyone just clamping their exhaust?

Did everyone buy their kit and install it in the driveway or sumpin? Why wasn't it welded up to begin with?

I've been using exhaust bands on my Impala's turbo exhaust down pipes for over a year and they're a pita to keep tight. Always will be. But it's the only way we've figured out how to give 600 RWHP that's already chained to the chassis just lil room to move without tearing welds. But I certainly don't have this same issue with the V.

Everyone is clamping their exhaust for three reasons:

1- That's how the Corsa is shipped, and the clamps are a 90% effective solution.

2- It's hard to find a good welder who can properly weld Stainless Steel

3- A lot of people are concerned about fitment issues. There's very little clearance underneath the V, and if you get it welded and it doesn't fit right then you're in a world of hurt. Leaving it clamped allows you to adjust things from time to time if need be.

I had mine welded because the above reasons don't apply to me.

Yup. I got my Corsa from the dealer also and I have had them realign it twice so far. If they install it, they support it.
