Must have one...
EDIT: Thanks to my quick hands and Googling, now have (2) copies on the way, and didn't pay nearly as much as the one currently on Ebay!! Anyone can gladly have one, once I get them;)
No wonder my room at home always looks like an explosion with stuff like this... TWasArroundHere 11-18-06, 10:00 PM Id love to get one, how much do you want for it? caddycruiser 11-18-06, 10:16 PM Id love to get one, how much do you want for it?
Me? Well, we'll wait and see until I get them, because I want to see what condition each is in first.
Looks like a cool book, but if it's stuff I really don't care for (since I'm more interested in '93-96 models), I'll just re-sell both to wanting Brougham owners here. I~LUV~Caddys8792 11-19-06, 02:02 AM That looks pretty awesome! brougham 11-19-06, 03:18 PM That looks cool but I wonder how good it really is? I might have to find one too. pimpin88 11-19-06, 04:18 PM Hey caddycruiser, I'd be interested also if you dont want one/I dont find another caddycruiser 11-19-06, 04:38 PM That looks cool but I wonder how good it really is? I might have to find one too.
That's what I wonder too, and will wait and see when I get them. Doesn't look like much product information, but a cool keepsake nonetheless about the Brougham & Fleetwood.
We shall see... codewize 11-20-06, 02:27 PM I have the 100 years of Cadillac book. I~LUV~Caddys8792 11-20-06, 02:57 PM The only Cadillac books that I have that wasn't published by Cadillac or GM are "The Standard Guide To Cadillac, 1903-2000" and "Cadillac Eldorado Performance Guide, 1967-78". There's a revised edition of The Standard Guide to Cadillac, and it goes up to '07 now. It's not got color photos too! I gotta pick that up soon! caddycruiser 11-27-06, 05:11 PM Just got 1 of 2 today, and I must say, it's a very cool book.
Not really any true information about the cars, but the small articles from owners along with their pictures near the cars are cool, and there are a lot more '93-96 Fleetwoods featured than I expected for whatever reason. A lot of '92 and older Broughams, and a few really old classics thrown in as well.
Once I get the 2nd copy, I'll sell one of them, but until then, cool book with cool pictures:thumbsup: brougham 11-28-06, 05:57 PM I still want to see what its like. Gimme one :) 1990CaddyBrougham 11-29-06, 11:54 PM I got mine a few days ago. Not factual at all... but a nice book to read. SOme nice stories. Ect.
97% of the people are from florida and are over 85... LOL lochenjons 11-30-06, 12:57 PM woah sweet where can i get one? got any spares? :worship: caddycruiser 11-30-06, 01:24 PM I got mine a few days ago. Not factual at all... but a nice book to read. SOme nice stories. Ect.

Exactly my view. Pretty much your classic older Florida owner set, with a few others thrown in. And the little snippets of information are pretty brief, but the real owner pics are cool, and I still like it.
I bought 2, but one is still MIA. Once I get it, one will be for sale here... Benzilla 11-30-06, 02:51 PM About everybody I know would laugh at me for saying this, but I like to see stories from the days when these cars were still owned by old people, now they all drive Hondas, an era has been lost. Even though that's a good thing, maybe after a few more years the whole idea of Cadillacs as "granny rides" will be gone for good. However I fail to see how so many people still see these cars being driven by old people, most have moved on to new Devilles.
Wow, where did that come from?
Anyway, cool book, I wish I could get a a copy, someone hook me up! caddycruiser 11-30-06, 05:09 PM About everybody I know would laugh at me for saying this, but I like to see stories from the days when these cars were still owned by old people, now they all drive Hondas, an era has been lost. Great point, and that's exactly what this book reminds me of. One of my favorites is an older couple where the wife's dream car had always been the Lincoln Town Car, but her husband liked Cadillacs and bought a '93 Fleetwood. While driving it one day, he was hit in the side and the car was totalled. She went out and finally leased the Town Car she always wanted while he was recovering, but after living with it for a while, she decided to get another Fleetwood because she thought "it was a better car." They ended up with a '95 then, and it has their picture by it.
It's really cool to see all the original people who bought these cars new, especially now that they're mostly all driving very different things (aside from all those who converted to Town Cars--which a LOT did).
Cool little stories about lots of miles and no repairs, little damage after accidents, etc. Lots of cool little old ladies in love with their big Fleetwoods and Broughams! lochenjons 12-01-06, 12:07 PM About everybody I know would laugh at me for saying this, but I like to see stories from the days when these cars were still owned by old people, now they all drive Hondas, an era has been lost. dude i totally know what you mean lol. i was at the bank the other day and some anchient lady pulls up next to me in a green early 90's honda. she gets out and stares at my car and gives me a nasty look. i still see a good number of oldies driving caddies around where i live. i saw this beautiful '62 driving down the road with beautiful rims and everything i was expecting it to be some tough looking guy at the helm but it was a tiny old man with a golf cap. way to go grandpa! my great aunt was one of those oldies but she took it to the next level. every year or two, her and her husband would buy a brand new cadillac in oregon and drive it down to vegas. they did this for a long time too so i can only imagine what they were buying before she bought my '85. they bought my car in vegas (still has the original license plate holder) then her husband died and she spent all the money gambling. then i think with the very last of the money she hired some lady to drive her around in it.
a little off course? but i thought id share the story of my cad Benzilla 12-03-06, 03:12 PM That's a cool story, by license plate holder, do you mean the chrome frame that sort of clips to the plate? Why the hell would an old lady give your car a nasty look? '80s Broughams were made to make women that lived thought the depression cream their pants lol. Although like I said, it's also a good thing that Cadillac is slowly moving away from the old people stigma, I mean look how many younger people are on this board with cool old land yachts. When I took my '83 to a "new school" carshow last summer, all the 300C and Escalade owners thought it was the shit, a big old 19 foot long white boat in sweet condition, you don't see these cars every day around here. caddycruiser 12-15-06, 02:43 PM Okay, FINALLY, have 2 copies available--keeping the 3rd for myself.
