View Full Version : How do you identify a tow-package on a '93-'96? Phantom&RedGoat2004 11-16-06, 06:24 AM Again, it's a question I'm posotive has been asked, but the search function and I only get along on Sundays. So, is there a tag on the bottom of the trunk lid that would specify a V4P package? If not, then where would the tell-tale be? Any idea on the production numbers of cars with the V4P? I would consider one of these to haul the GOAT to the track with if I ever ran across it and the money at the same time. Thanks again guys, PRG04 caddycruiser 11-16-06, 01:44 PM No idea of production numbers, since it was just a general kind of option, but it's easy to spot one. Look for:
1) On the RPO code sticker on the underside of the trunklid, should be the V4P (or V92 in some really, really odd cases) code.
2) Underhood, you'll see a rounded mechanical fan shroud in front of the engine, right over the radiator, since Tow Pack cars had a mechanical fan versus the dual electric ones on a regular model.
Rare cars, but easy to spot when you do find one, and VERY desirable. DaveSmed 11-16-06, 02:42 PM Got any pictures of the Pontiac? Phantom&RedGoat2004 11-16-06, 08:09 PM I have a picutre-posting disability :banghead: (don't make fun of the handicapped :nyanya: - it's not funny - okay, may be a little funny). But, I would be more than happy to shoot some if I had someone to post them for me. caddycruiser 11-16-06, 09:11 PM I have a picutre-posting disability :banghead: (don't make fun of the handicapped :nyanya: - it's not funny - okay, may be a little funny). I'm going to try and mess with my signature and avatar, and see what I can do. Thanks, CaddyCruiser
Nevermind, not a lot of options to play with. Phantom&RedGoat2004 11-17-06, 08:55 AM :rant2:
Why do I even try with the picture-thing. I've been at this for hours before this - I know V-Bulliten, and I know it will out-smart me every time weather it be a search for something as simple as "1993 big block install", or trying to post a picture! V-B, you make want to throw things at my PC! :want: :banghead: :dammit: :gun2: :brutal:
Okay, I'm done now...No, really, I'm better now. caddycruiser 11-17-06, 01:22 PM Well, here's your pics:

I really suck at this...
...but those are the wheels and the hood-kit that I have picked out. What do you think? Yep, definately that easy. Just start uploading yourself in your own account (I'll probably take them off mine after some time, for space), and copy & paste the links.
Glad I could help:thumbsup:
And, oh yes, I was wondering why it was 3 different cars...haha... DaveSmed 11-19-06, 04:49 PM Nice! Black/red interior works so well on those, and with the tint it's gonna look badass. | |
