I posted this Q in the Deville forums. Long story short, I saw a guy with a 2001 base deville. Everytime he started his car, on the DIC it would display his name. He didn't know how it did it. He said dealer did it when he bought the car new in 2001. I figured someone here might now how.

Damn I read about that on this board a long time ago. Someone bought a car, and it flashed the previous owner's name at startup. I think that thread said the dealer can reprogram it for you, or someone with a Tech II can do it.

I am pretty sure it cannot be done by the average Joe.
