It rained today.
Today i noted that the interior fan kicked on more immideately than usual. And when i arrived at my destination the fan kept running when i shut the car off. It seemed to be coming out of the defroster vents only. I left the car for about 5 mins and the came back to see if it had shut off. No luck. I pulled the fuse as a temporary fix so it wouldnt drain the battery. Here are some of the other problems i have.
The ac drain fell of leaving alot of the wiring wet a while ago.
A metal pipe went through the window on the PAX side and now there is a space between the mindow and outside rubber strip letting water in the door and drains out on the ground.
the interior light does not come off when shutting the door.
there are no door/trunk Ajar lights
the memory seats dont work
trunk pull down is inoperative
and now the defroster fan stays on
Can anybody help?

This may not be a lot of help, but I will shoot it out there for you to think about. Before I got my 95 FWB, I had a 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It did similar things as to what you are mentioning. I had my buddy, who is a certified Chyrsler Tech, look at the Jeep. After going throuhg some tech sheets he told me my BCM was out. All of the symptoms were plugged in to the BCM. He had some really nice wiring diagrams that I asked him if I could have that showed exactly what I was looking for. He printed them off and I used them for a week afterwards, until I traded the Jeep off for my Caddy. :) Anyway, I think that stems from a BCM, but don't quote me on it. Just thought I would throw you my two cents. I have service manuals on the way for my 95 FWB, maybe those will help. I know there are several others out there with the service manuals.

131pass key telltale open or shorted to grnd

Bad ground connections somewhere? Corrosion build-up on negative battery terminal?
These would be the cheap/free and easy things I'd double-check first before spending money on expensive electronics to fix the problem.
I would suggest getting a factory service manual for your car if you plan to fix it yourself as it will have wiring diagrams and troubleshooting charts in it.

Wouldnt it have problems starting if the battery terminals were bad? Are'nt missing Door Ajar lights, trunk pull down, interior light that stays on and Air blower BCM related issues? all these issues seem computer related dont they?
where can i find this manual?
Thanks alot!
I got mine from www.helminc.com
A bad ECM ground maybe? Poor specific ground connection? Electrical issues can have WEIRD symptoms.
I am currently tracing down a weird elec gremlin in my wife's car now (for several weeks now). It intermittently supplies power to the fuel pump relay. When it does supply power, pump still does not run even though getting 11.5Volts, which should be enough. So something else is awry. Electrical problems are the worst!

I just cleaned the battery terminals, but no luck. Any other ideas?

Without schematics it's hard to trace down where to measure at with your multimeter. It will take lots of time and dedication... the FSM would really be handy here.
On a side note, after 6 weeks now of off and on troubleshooting I think I found my wife's car's problem. Bad ECM. I plan to take the ECM apart and look for physical damage inside as the ECM was loose in its mounts and jiggled around a lot. Otherwise a junkyard ECM will find its way into the car soon.
Not that this exerience relates to yours at all, just thought I'd explain how tricky troubleshooting can be even when you have the schematics. :rant2:

i pulled this part it looks pretty nasty. what is it?
This part is the blower module, when it goes bad it can make you blower stay on when the vehicle is off. I had this problem with my 91 Brougham and had to replace it. Cost of this item was around $90.
