View Full Version : Update:07 Ext Spoiler Yes Or No? skahn1@aol.com 11-14-06, 02:55 PM OK...I took your advice and did not go with the EXT bed spoiler. I did go with the roof spoiler..Also I installed the E&G Heavy Mesh Grille and vents as well as the stainless steel pillar posts. I do recommend a body shop for the install. I did it myself and It was a mf bitch to install..I'm stupid..lol Anyway as promised here are some pics...let me know thoughts..Thanks Steve TheCaddyKidd 11-14-06, 03:12 PM i think it looks good... how was the install? Looks good, not sure about the chrome strips on the pillars between the windows. skahn1@aol.com 11-14-06, 03:43 PM caddy kid....it was a tough sum bitch...i totally recommend the dealer for the grille...it took me a hard 8 hours!! you need a special tool to disengage the front bumper skin from the old grille skin...not easy..instructions were lame, pictures were not clear enough, and a shit load of cutting and modifying parts removed from old grille... skahn1@aol.com 11-14-06, 03:44 PM HCVONE, i thought the same about the pillar posts at first...but they grow on you and I have had alot of compliments on the street.... TheCaddyKidd 11-14-06, 03:56 PM i think if you titned the front windows the pillars would look even better.. they look good now but i think if they sat wil balck all around it would look great.. Falkolade 11-14-06, 04:12 PM i love the side vents in chrome... those are hot... i hate the look of the stock side vents, esp. if the truck is white diamond... as for the pillars i dunno about those... the spoiler is hot though Synergetic 11-14-06, 04:24 PM Looks good, not sure about the chrome strips on the pillars between the windows.
Yeah, woah! Didn't even notice that. I would take those off, immediately!! The spoiler is fine, IMO. skahn1@aol.com 11-14-06, 10:46 PM Caddykidd, Again You've Nailed It!! My Thoughts Exactly. The Tint In Front Would Be The Difference. Like I Said I Was Unsure Of The Posts Until Alot Of Compliments And The Way They Grow On You.
Here Are A Few More Pics To Give A Wider Perspective.....steve Im not sure if I like the roof spoiler that much...or the chrome strips on the pillars between the windows. No disrespect ofcoarse. The tint on the 07's is much easier to match 100% to factory, my 03' was slightly off, but my 07's match perfect STEALTHBOMBER 11-15-06, 05:59 PM everything looks great but im not to shure about the pillars, is the roof spoiler screwed in or just double sided tape EXT_Vegas 11-17-06, 05:31 AM Looks good. Who makes the roof spoiler? integline 11-18-06, 10:48 AM not a bad looking truck, but would like to see some higher res pics if u have any. benamaster 11-18-06, 07:09 PM The tint on the 07's is much easier to match 100% to factory, my 03' was slightly off, but my 07's match perfect
Does it match 100% on the inside also? Do you know what % and brand they used? skahn1@aol.com 11-19-06, 01:34 AM Looks good. Who makes the roof spoiler?
The spoiler is made by Sportwing out of Ohio. It has two no drill machine bolts that attach to exsisting holes on top of brake light, as well as the double sided 3m tape. The install took all of 10 mins.......Steve nofinga911 11-20-06, 08:45 AM how was the install for the side vents? Boombotz 11-20-06, 10:09 AM Truck looking good. MarkMatthews 01-20-07, 11:39 PM Love the roof wing. As far as the side pillars, not my cup of tea, but not terrible. Is the 2007 roof wing the same as the 2004? Also anyone know where I can get a Strut grill from? Did you buy your pillar posts off eBay? Which vendor did you go with? I've been thinking about the samething but have seen some vendors that want $50 for them and others that want $100 and wonder what is the difference between them. In addition I checked out the SportWing website and I didn't see any listings for a 07 wing? Do you have a link to the item? Thanks! brianbeaulieu 04-27-07, 11:18 PM I think the spoiler is great where did you get it? I also have the side vents but have not installed them yet how was the install??? Thanks for the feedback |
