Has anybody replaced the rear springs on a 92 Brougham? How did you do it?
The service manual says to lower the rear axel; will a spring compressor do the job with out messing with the axel???

You don't need a spring compressor. Just jack up the car, and support the frame. Put the jack under the rear diff, and compress the suspension a little (not enough to raise the car). Remove the lower shock bolts. Slowly lower the jack, and take out the springs. Easy!

Its a piece of cake. I saw a guy spend an entire Saturday using a spring compressor on a 78 SDV.
