Hey all... I've got a question that I was hoping ya'll could help me out with. In January, I'm going to be moving back to New Jersey. (Picked a hell of a time, in the dead winter), and my cousion is comming down with his new Chevy Silverado1500 to tow my Caddie back there. Is there any spesfic way we should tow the car? Or should I just get one of those flatbed towers and stick it behind the truck? I've never towed one before, so I dont know how it works.
Also, when I get there, it's going to be winter, and we dont have a garrage yet. Now, this is a Florada car, its never seen snow or anything of the sort. I've got a cover for it, but thats it, for now. Any specal way we should store it for the winter, outside under the cover?
Thanks for all the help.

Tow it on a flatbed. You can get them from Uhaul. Tell them you are towing a Geo Metro:)

If I do that they might just kick me out for owning one of those.

Renting from u haul they want to know what is being towed and what is towing it. I remember i wanted to tow a Town car before and they wouldnt let me. The trailers arent all that heavy duty.
I since bought a car trailer. Open flat deck. 20 footer, double frame with 4 wheel brakes. Diamond plate deck. Cadillac of car trailers.
I tow wiht a 02 Silverado 2500 HD
For storage you Should put plywood under it to help against moisture. If you are concrned about your tires take them off and put spared on. To prevent dryrott or flat spots.
If you have to tow with a dolly, remove the driveshaft. I don't recommend long distance towing backwards on a dolly.
Flatbed is best by far.

Cool, thanks for the tips. I was thinking also I could tow it with my Linclion LS, but I doubt that would work
Too light, I wouldn't. The LS isn't a tow car at all. Tow the LS with the Coupe DeVille!
