Hello Guys.
First I'd like to apologise for my bad english.
I'm Brazilian. So please be patient to help me, because i really need help.
I have a 95 deville. I believe that is only five cars like this in Brazil We don't have Cadillac dealers here. My car suddenly begins to die. If I try to start imediately, the engine does not run, but if i wait about one minute, it runs again ok. So I replace the fuel pump, because the old one gives just one bar of pressure. The new one gives 2.8 bar (42 PSI). But the car not runs good. It works with a very rich fuel/oxigen moisture. Smoke and fuel comes out of the exhaust sistem. I change the MAS sensor, the pressure regulator, the position sensor, the temperature sensor, and I check all the fuel and return lines. It seems ok to me. The light "check engine, or service engine" does not light on. What else can I do?? Thanks a lot.

Pull the codes off the climate control. This link will explain how to. Report them back here and I am sure someone can give you some direction.

Hello!
The link that you gave is not working, but I believe that holding the off and warm buttons on climate control, it will give me the codes. Am I right??
Thanks Again

Sounds like oxygen sensor, but let's see the codes.

Hey, shouldn't this thread be in the N* forum for more targeted audience?
I don't recall any of the HT4.x engines having MAS.

Hello Guys.
Well... I did exactly what you told me and no codes are stored on the car. May be any fuel injector damage??
Thanks again.

Good question! I guess one should ask him if it's a Deville or Deville Concours?

Hi! She is a 95 Deville. Not a Deville Concours. And have a MAP sensor

Sounds to me as though you could be have some ignition trouble perhaps. If you have voltage/ohm meter I can walk you through checking all the components there. Faulty equipment here can cause your car to not burn fuel completely and sometimes run rich.
A misadjusted TPS could be to blame to. A recheck of that maybe in order. At minimum idle it should read 0.45-0.55v.
Have you heard any exhaust rattling or noise from the exhaust system in general?
Is the car stalling and not starting back up since the fuel pump change or just running rich?
I know this post is all of the place but I do not know where to really begin with out a code and not wanting to waste your time doing alot of checks or money.

Hello Guys,
well I believe that I found the problem. Two fuel injectors are blown open. So they put inside the engine a lot of gas. I'm still waiting for the new ones. As soon as I receive it i will let you know whats hapenned.
Best Regards
Leo.

Hi friends,
As I was told you, the new injectors arrived this morning. I just replaced it and the car was running fine.
Thanks a lot,
Leo.

Good job. Keep an eye on the other injectors. It's a common practice to replace all of them when one or more fail.
