I changed the oil pump to a gerotor 4.9 pump on my 4.1, had to cut the shaft. No one told me that the god damn oil pan is different too:mad:, I spent 3 hours making the bitch fit. I got it to fit, bashed the shit out of it just so i could assemble the car and drive it home. Lifters don't make noise no more, and oil pressure went up. Screw 15w 40 oil, i am running Castrol syntec full synthetic 5w 50 oil from now on. The 4100 is fast as hell now and no more noises, can barely hear the other knock. Its most likely a piston pin, not a bearing knock. I am goign to change the oil pan upon next oil change, will the 4.9 pan fit the 4.1 or is no one going to reply once again? I am sorry, i am just very pissed off. Thanks once again.
