My 2003 CTS is Garnet Red. I know you don't have the eyelids to match but my grill is a grey color as is the section with the reverse. I was wondering if you had ever seen this and if you thought the light platinum might look OK.

I know what you're talking about (my CTS is also an '03), but I've had my bezel replaced and the grill resprayed to bodycolor so I don't have something to match it to.
If I remember correctly though, the Light Platinum is going to be quite a bit lighter than the grey grill.

Here's an photo to give you an example of the contrast between the platinum and the grey used in the grill:

It's not unusual to trim light assemblies in black though. Maybe Raven will work?
I'll check the dealer lots next time I'm through there and see if I can color-match the stock grills.



*EDIT* I just thought of something. The grey in the headlamps should be the same as the stock grills, right? I'll colormatch off of my headlamps when I get home tonight.

The Thunder Grey is much darker and would be closer to the CTS grey than either the light platinum or raven black. It won't be a close match and does have a good amount of metal flake in it though.

Unfortunately, I can't find a good match for the grey at this time, but have given the Pantone number to my suppliers to see if they can come up with anything.

We are looking into this currently in fact. I plan on offering both my eyelid sets and a full tint wrap in the future. Right now we're testing various transparent sign vinyls to see which would work for automotive use.

Now offering our eyelid and bezel kits in a dark tint/transparent vinyl.
This may provide an alternative for those of you with hard to match colors.
When ordering, please specify Dark Tint in your PayPal notes.

Unfortunately, no. The 2003 to early 2004 CTS had a different rear bezel (the clear plastic is all one piece). The rear bezel covers apply to the separate backup lights in the later bezels.

If I can find an 03 to get dimensions from, I could design a full vinyl overlay for the 03 though (my 03 has had the bezel updated because it leaked water). It would be a bit more difficult to install and cost a bit more due to the extra material, but would give out of warranty 03-early 04 owners an alternative to buying the expensive updated bezel.

I'll watch the used car lots and let you know if I come up with anything.

Sorry, no Blue Chip yet. I do have a roll coming at the end of the week that looks to be a perfect color match, but with twice the metallic (at least when comparing the vinyl color chip to the Cadillac one; When it gets here, I'll take a chunk down to the local dealership to see how the real colors compare).

Still can only find good matches for Black Raven and Light Platinum (and a passable match in most lighting for Thunder Grey).

The example pics are on a Platinum silver CTS.

I believe Thunder Grey was the 2007 replacement color for Silver Smoke. I only have the 2007 Cadillac color chips to work with, so I can not say for sure how close the two are. They are different colors for sure and not just a name change though as the color code changed from 2006 to 2007 (42U for Silver Smoke versus 30U for Thunder Grey).







If anyone has the color chip pamphlet for the pre-2007 A&S Cadillac colors, I would be willing to work out a deal or payment for them.
