I have a 1999 ETC and the nylon fuel rail was leaking, so I ordered a stainless steel fuel rail. I also noticed there was two part numbers for the fuel pressure regulator, one for the nylon and one for the stainless rail.
Can I use my old FPR on my new stainless rail?

When ordering a new FPR for my '96 caddy, I remember seeing the option for stainless steel fuel rail or original nylon fuel rail. So you might want to get the FPR that is recommended for the stainless steel fuel rail.

Rockauto.com has

the AC-Delco nylon fuel rail FPR for $37.79 (part # 2171598) and the stainless steel fuel rail FPR for $41.79 (part # 2171630).

The old FPR will work in the new fuel rail. Just transfer everything over.

I think the different part numbers are because of the different locking clips that each use, that are included. Not positive though.

Cadillac replaced my fuel rail under a recall at no charge. Have the dealer run your VIN.

The recall was for '95 -'97 only.

guess it's about time for them to extend it, now that 98's are old enough to start leaking...:bouncy:
