I have work from 8am-4pm(I have a 30 minute lunch but i have to go home and Iron my clothes for my other job)...Then i have to drive an hour to go to my other job from 5pm-10pm.....I'm not going to be able to....I feel like such an assshole! This is my first miss on voting

yup ....did all my research last night and went down there with my cheat sheet ...in and out in under 5 .....

Oregon is exclusively vote-by-mail, which I love. I can go through all the propositions in the voter's pamphlet (the more hysterical the arguments, the more likely I will vote the opposite) at my convenience. Mailed my ballot Saturday.

Let's just hope all legitimate votes are counted. I do not trust those Diebold touch-screen machines with no paper trail. If this turns into another election with widespread evidence of vote fraud, intimidation, rigging, etc. like 2000 and 2004, I truly fear the U.S. will have become a bannana republic.

I did it. Took about 10 minutes, plus another five outside talking to a candidate friend of mine running for city commission. This was my first time with the touch screen. We had punch cards before.

Our races were:

Governor
Senator
House of Representatives
State representative
City commission (pick 2)
Gay marriage proposition
Property tax freeze for those over 65. (I think I understood it correctly)

Really VERY easy. The long ballot was in August and I didn't vote then.

You betcha! Snuck out around 10 am, got back, nobody missed me!
Plus, I get $2 off any pizza at Domino's with my "I voted" sticker on my shirt! Ain't America great!

I'm a registered independent, but I couldn't bring myself to vote Republican on even the local races I'm so disgusted with this crowd. As I've told friends, "I wouldn't vote Republican for dog catcher. Why? Once in office, he'd promptly privatize animal control, give a no-bid contract to some crony who didn't have a clue about dog catching, then blame the 'bureaucracy' for all the dogs running amuck."

we had 80 items on the Bexar county ballot, longest ever. Early voting began 2 weeks ago and I voted then. Dont know if Diebold but we use electronic, and no receipts. Who knows where my electrons went...
