I was in barnes and noble yesterday flipping through some magazines and I got to page ten of the magazine muscle machines. they were reporting that they have seen a CTS coupe being tested for release in 2008. Before i read this i was under the impression that we would not be seeing one till 2009 or 2010 has anybody heard anything about this being true? Or did the magazine just totally make this up?

My guess... they're speculating. Here's my guess for the rollout of the new CTS line.

2007, gen 2 CTS sedan with 2 engine options
2008, gen 2 CTS-V sedan
2008, gen 2 CTS coupe with 3 engine options (2.8, 3.6, 3.6 turbo)
2009 (maybe 2010), gen 2 CTS-V coupe
2013 (maybe 2014), gen 3 CTS

Of course, this is not based on fact, so I could be as far off base as the magazine.

how much horsepower do oyu tihnk the 3.6 turbo would have? and how much do you tihnk it will be?

The last rumors I read said the new CTS would debut late spring 2007 and the new V in late 2007. The coupe supposedly comes out in 2008.

My best guess for engines is this:

240 2.8
300+ 3.6
425-450 6.0 LS2 or 6.2 LS3 or supercharged Northstar
500-550 6.2 LS3 supercharged or supercharged Northstar

I highly doubt we're going to see an 08 model year V. I think it's going to be like the first year of the CTS followed the next year by the V. It's been that way for each new model for Cadillac (I think).
