Anyone have comp springs installed with there CAM?

I was told the oil temp needs to be 135 before getting on her because those springs can break if cold....I have been very good so far about waiting, it takes about 3 miles to get to that temp....

just curious if anyone else was told this....

I use the Comp dual springs in my V.

I would worry more about the rest of the engine "comming up to temp" then what the spring will do when "cold".

Spring steel is a little more brittle when cold.

Since I am in Southern Cal, and garaged, the temp differance is not that extreme.

I don't romp on it until the car is "warmed up" anyway.
When cold, it's a stone.

from my understanding normally you can get on our cars at 100 temp, but because of bridle spring 135 temp is very important. it sucks when you want to make some noise out of your parking lot at work but you have to crawl out to be gentle...:bigroll:

Either honk the horn :tisk: or leave, pretend you forgot something and then make noise when you leave the second time..:alchi:
