second owner to a new to me 93 Deville sedan, beautiful black with black leather interior. Looks nearly new! 65k original miles. Now I just need to learn how to pamper this baby like she deserves! Hi all!

known issues ( solutions welcome)
1 remote unlock does not work, even with new batteries in the transmitters
2 radio on and off switch is temperamental
3 emergency brake release gets sticky and must be manually released if she is parked for a few days
4 front hubcaps missing retainer spring in the center of one and one is missing a center cap prong.
5 slight shudder noticeable only by driver when sitting at a stoplight.
6 antenna retracts incompletely, leaves about 4 inches above the car surface when retracted ( car turned off).

:welcome: Can't help you with your troubles, there, but welcome to the forums. You may want to post your questions in the technical advice forum or the past Cadillac vehicles forum for FWD Devilles. People on this site have been very helpful.

I've got a '93 Sedan DeVille as well, but it has high miles--194,000 to be exact. All on the first engine with no major engine troubles though. Got to love those 4.9's.

Welcome to the forums, I own a light beige '92 Sedan deVille. It's been a great car. I love the looks of the 91-93 deVilles, some of the best looking Caddies ever!

As for your questions, the only thing I can say is that you antenna is probably bent a very slight amount, so slight that you can't detect it with your eye. The clearances for the antenna casing are extremely tight, and it doesn't take much at all to bend that mast. I have the same problem too, a replacement mast from a Cadillac dealer is $36.

The remotes may need to be "resynchronized"

The parking brake sticking may be due to a broken vacuum seal/link/hose/thingy.

Welcome!!
