I'm curious... Who's got the oldest Cadillac in the club?

The oldest I can think of is a '64 Coupe deVille.

I think there are a few '59's around.

Bill Burns has stopped by occasionally with his 11 second 500 powered 49 Deville.

Hmm. So far, there aren't as many older Cadillacs in this club as I was thinking there might be. I went to a fundraiser at a famous historic mansion in Des Moines (Salisbury House) about 2 years ago and took a whole bunch of pics of everything from the early, early 1900's (like a 1908 or so) Cadillac through the mid-60's Cadillacs, and everything in between. These were all museum-quality vehicles. I'll try and post some of the highlights in the Cadillac Images section soon. It was an impressive show in a beautiful setting.

Wow, that's a beautiful car. Those were so elegant in their day, and I love those lower skeg fins accentuating the top fins. Ever seen the advertisements for this era Cadillac? They are really something. They don't write ad copy like that anymore.

Thanks for posting those pics.

Well I tried to upload those pics I promised, but couldn't. I wonder if the file is too big? They're sized at 2560 x 1920. I had 7 picked out from the 1930's on to the mid '60's. If someone can tell me how to resize them to a smaller size, I would be happy to post these photos.

upload them to www.photobucket.com, then post the links (or thumbnails) here.

Benzilla,

I guess my picture files are too large, they won't upload into Photobucket. I'll try to get them downsized to 800x680.

When I take a pic from my digital camera (set at 5.4 mp) each shot is over 1 mb. What I do is put them on my pc, then open them is Microsoft Paint. Yes, the program we all used to draw little houses on the computer.

I open the pics in paint, then just save it. No editing or resizing. I don't know how it does it, but paint usually gets my pics under 600 kb.
