FYI - I learned from a contact within Cadillac that the CTS-V will begin production on May 14 with a base price of 49,300. The STS will begin production Jun 1 and base price has not yet been established but thinks it will be somewhere in the same range. The STS, unlike past models, will have fewer standard features and more options which I'm sure will up the price considerably if you get the options any STS would probably want. Regarding the interior photo with what appears to be a navigation screen will be a nav screen as an option but only if you have already bought the "luxury sport" package. My contact was unsure what would go there if you don't get the nav system.

Those vehicles in show rooms are early build vehicles and are saleable to the general public. The real start of production at full volume is not until mid-June. These vehicles will have all the final updates to hardware/software, unlike the ones in show rooms right now.

The V-series is already in production. The STS will be available in V6 and V8, with 3 different trim packages for the V6 and 4 for the V8. The available colors will be the same onses as the SRX. Also, a new gold color for 05. AWD will also be available. The order information is loaded already, so dealers will be ordering cars soon.
