I think Corvette has the Message but Cadillac has not.:mad2:

Hot isn't the word for it....I am holding out buying a new car for that reason alone. I was going to buy the daytona charger until I seen this bad boy then got another used car to hold me over till it arrives.
I hope its not as big a pain as other new cars have been in the past like the first viper that was never available and if it was it cost 20 grand more than its sticker price.

One car does it right in an entire brand name? The Vette aint enough to stem the tide.

GM is going to do right by the camaro name I think. THat new camaro looks ridiculously close to a first generation.

Of course Lutz still is trying to put the brakes on it, avoiding givingit the green light as much as he can.

THINK YOU WOULD GO FOR THE 6.1 HEMI OR THE SMALLER 5.7?

The new Camaro (whenever that comes to production) will do alright, but unfortunately it seems GM has once again missed the boat. The longer they wait to get a retro-muscle machine on the market, the less chance they'll have of it being successful.

I think it will depend what motor they put in the Camaro. 400HP 350CI might do it.:yup:

I love it.. I really don't see anything wrong with cars looking exactly the way they used to, but brand new. I'd love a brand new 1970 Chevy Nova SS. Or Chevelle SS.. Or 1977 Lincoln Town Car. Or Fleetwood Brougham Talisman.. I can name so many...

I absolutely adore the new Challenger and one WILL be in my garage after prices go down. Plum Crazy Purple or HEMI Orange and definetly the R/T trim. I like the idea of having an 425 hp 6.1L engine but I'd rather stay original and buy the R/T.

I would love the Ford forty-nine to come out. I love the looks of that car!

I think GM "gets it" on some cars. If by "gets it" you mean relatively affordable and fun to drive. I'd list:

Corvette
Camaro
CTS-V (if it comes in new and improved for 2009)
Sky
Solstice
HHR (believe it or not)

GM cars that prove they don't always get it:

Malibu
Impala
All minivans
All Buicks (where's our GNX or other halo car?)
All Pontiacs, except Soltice (gutless, now that the GTO is dead)

It's not all their fault. Re-inventing a corporate giant is mighty expensive.

Lacking RWD on a larger scale is hurting them significantly. If the Impala was RWD, it would be doing much better than it is. True for a lot of GM vehicles right now. Look at Pontiac.

I'll wait for the 2nd year, & opt for the 6.1 in the convertible in "Top Banana" with white leather & top (if offered) ~

Very nice car. Always liked it from the first posted pic. Getting one is another story.

The Camaro will be coming out 3rd quarter 08, but I still think the Challenger looks better.

I like the car, I'm sure it drives badass, but am I the only one who thinks the front end looks retarded? Like the headlights, and the big plain bumper, to me it screams big dumb kid from a cartoon.

Oh Ben, you know you'd like it if it was about three feet longer, weighed a 1000lbs more, had a carbed big block and sucked gas to the tune of 10 miles to one gallon!

I found a pic of the gauge cluster. I really like the 1st gauge :D

Well... yes :D

But like I said, other than the front clip, it looks nice, and I bet even though it's a new car, it's fun to drive. But i'll always like the old ones better, I can't stand what they did to the charger. I always liked chargers the best of any muscle cars.

BTW, they stole the mirrors from my '84 Cutlass and painted them.

I really didn't like the Chargers at first, but when I finally saw one in person it grew on me a bit, I still can't believe they're 4 doors though.

I don't think their bad cars really, just don't call it a charger. I mean, the old ones were so lean, long, and sexy. Very emotional, moody cars. The new ones... just don't have it.

The old Chargers were the best looking muscle cars ever, especially the 1970 model. The new ones are a muscular family sedan. Big whoop.

I think a lime green one would be sweet! Maybe even with a white interior and convertible top!
Those guages look a bit wierd to me...need to see it with the whole pic....
