You can get these from eBaymotors.de for less than half the price. Just use the search terms "omega klarglas." I have purchased parts from there before and shipping was not much money. Just ask ahead if they ship to North America.

I have not been able to confirm though if the Euro spec lights are indeed glass instead of plastic.
Also I have been told by several people who have driven in Europe that generally European TUV spec lights are horrible compared to North American DOT spec lights for all makes. Regulations there force the lights to be designed in such a manner as to not shine into the path of on coming traffic and the result are lights with very poor range and a bias to the right side. As a result you end up driving with the high beams on virtually all the time when you’re on the highway. Adjusting the aim does not help much are the reflector housings are different.
The lights are made of plastic. Only the small lens of the low beam is made of glass.
The cheap ones (and all black ones) on ebay are not the OEM Lights of the facelift Omegas (which are made by Hella), they are clones with a lower quality (made by Depo).
Do the real GM European versions come with real glass lenses or are they also plastic like the North American versions?

It's hard to imagine lower quality than the OEM headlights...they are so fragile! My dealer almost went through 10 sets to get 2 decent headlights to replace my projector style lights once.

European eadlights are plastic. I was on vacation in May and came up to Omega B and knocked on the headlights- they're plastic. You can find some glass projector style European headlights, but they won't have the black housing...

I just custom painted the insides of my lights. wet sanded/polish the lens and this is how they look.
It turned out pretty good. Not as well as i had hoped due to the lenses having that texture on it.. i would opt to get the black ones off ebay some time.
But hey this cost me about 20 bucks so...
