My '95 service manual shows the radiator as fully servicable. You may want to find a shop that "rebuilds" them. I know there are a few around here who can do it for much less than new.

Personally I would use the GM PN. $294.82 at www.partszoneonline.com You should never have to replace it again. If you do go aftermarket go with the Modine. I have had bad luck with all the others.

I don't have a problem going aftermarket but if it's aluminum only replace with aluminum.

I got my last one from Radiator barn. Cheaper, name brand, fast delivery. I looked at 95 STS's on several sites. From $178 to 205. Your choice.

Or do a search on yahoo. These all show the same pn.

An "internal leak" implies that one of the oil coolers is leaking internally..???

If so, the end tank and the cooler is readily replaceable at home. The end tank and cooler is available as a separate replaceable part and the end tank just crimps in place with tabs that are easily un-bent and re-crimped with simple pliers.

what i mean by internal leak is that i can not visibly see the leak but i can see where it is spraying and getting other parts wet, like its in the middle of the radiator

Hate to go off subject here, am I to assume the '98 Eldo with a 4.6 has no reserve tank for the radiator? All I can find is the main radiator cap. Do I just add the coolant straight into that?

That's right. 1 1/2-2"s below the neck.
