well i have been thinking about selling my deville if i sell it i will have about $15,000 for another car, i was thinking about geting a BMW 97-03 540 I, or a 2002 EXT, if u had $15K to buy a car what would u buy and why????

Out of the two listed, I'd go with the 540i because I don't like Escalades.

I've heard that the 540i has a peerless driving experience, nothing comes close. I'm sure Jesda can ( and will) give more information.

Oh yeah no kidding, these '80s Eldorados are gettin dirt cheap. Oh and FWIW, I wasn't saying he should buy two Eldorados, I was just saying I would do that if I was given 15k. Heck, he can buy anything he wants.....just no Hybrids... :D

97 i believe. there just isnt anyway... unless he already has like maybe 11-12k dollars saved up and selling the Deville will put him at 15k. that is the only angle i can see that would work.

well i do have about $7500 in the bank and im hoping to get somewhere in betweek 6-8K for the deville KBB for a stock deville here in AZ is $7200 but im selling mine with wheels, grille, sound system, exhaust, cross drilled rotors, ext... so im guessing $7500 for it might be cheap but will get me to the $15000 mark

But seriously, you should be able to get around $7000-$8000 for it around here. All the extra stuff doesn't add much value so I'd suggest taking anything that can be removed and put it in the car you buy.

I'm in the same ballpark as you (my budget is around $20,000) and I'm looking at '02-'03 DHS/ DTS and '03-'04 Expeditions. It all depends on your needs but I like the EXT's.
