I need help identifying a Cadillac my nephew photographed a couple of years ago at a Las Vegas museum. I believe it probably dates to 1957 or 1958, has no fins, has a large oval grille and small round tail lights, and all trim (including bumpers and hubcaps) is done in gold. I have a couple of photos, but have no idea how to post them here...so e-mail would probably be the best bet. My address is ricksampson@kmryradio.com if you can help or would be willing to check out the pictures.

Thanks,
Rick

Here's a rear view photo.

Doesn't look like any Cadillac I know of from the 50s. The taillights weren't round like that.

In larger photos, you can see a Cadillac emblem on the hood, above the grill, and on the hubcaps - plus the word "Cadillac" in gold (gold chrome?) on the front fender. One website showed a similar, but earlier, vehicle produced by Bill Frick and indicated it was "Cadillac powered," but I wouldn't think that would be enough to justify the emblems - and earn it a place in a Las Vegas museum!

It looks close to a 1954 cadillac series 62 ghia coupe, but hard to tell from the single rear only shot there.

Very close! Another source has now identified it as a 1953 Ghia coupe, built for Rita Hayworth, and now in the Harrah's Collection. The source indicates only three were built for '53. Thanks for the help, everyone!
