Hi,

I picked up my 2007 AWD STS and its great. My 2004 CTS lease was up.
I love all the state of the art options. I did not think that I would like the AWD but it drives great. The V6 was the same engine that was in my CTS and I find the performance of the V6 in this STS very good. In the CTS when I drove from NY to Florida to visit my daughters who live there, I would average 28 MPG on the 2,700 mile round trip.

The navigation system in this car is orders of magnitude better than the one in my CTS. I was a little disapointed that the spoiler is deleted when AWD is ordered. However it still looks great. There was no side body molding on this STS and I wanted it because of people parking next to you in the parking lots. I had some installed color matched. I order Infered (red) and it looks great except I have to get used to it.

The remote starter works great. On my 1954 Buick I designed and installed a remote starter that had a range of over a mile. It was written up in 1957 in a full page picture and story about me.

The 15 speaker audio system sounds great. On my 1954 Buick (same article) It shows my Hi Fi system with only 6 speakers but it sounded great. I still have copies of these articles from 1957 if anyone wants to see my self equipted Buick.

So far I am happy but I am sure that I will find some faults even though I hope not.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Welcome to the "tribe". I have an 05 STS V-8 with all available options, so I know just how you feel, from the quiet ride to all of the great toys for us to play with.

Enjoy!!!!

I want to see that article about your car. It sounds very interesting. Post it.

Koreavet, I tip my hat to you - 50 years of excitement about your cars.

BTW, with current events going the way they are, the military may be able to use your subject matter expertise again real soon.

Thanks everyone for replying. I want t0 post a picture so that you will see what I mean when you look at my articles. I will figure a way to post the picture. The file is quite large. So far I love the car. It needs side moldings because of the parking lots. I do not know why Cadillac did not put them on. My 2004 CTS had them. This is my first experience with all wheel drive but I might take a run to Michigan where my son works. I was in the military in Korea and had to design and build a repeater for over the hill communications. My wife is an active Ham Radio operator and has spoken to one of the astronaut in space. I believe that they are all Ham Radio Operators on the space station.

I have not installed any of my new idea's in this new car until I understand more about it then I do at the moment. Have a great weekend.
