I'm building a cradle to drop the drive train on. Does anyone know the approx weight of the complete drive train?

An old garage creeper and some wood blocking does a pretty good job. One source says about 711 lbs. for engine and transmission with liquids.

A crapload. (OK, it's not much for what it is, but still.) I was lazy and bought a 1000lb rated furnature dolly from Harbor freight, then stuck a wooden pallet that I 'borrowed' from AutoZone on it, then set the subframe/powertrain on that. It's stable enough for me. I'd have just put some casters on the pallet, but eh the dolly was just as cheap on sale. My setup is a bit higher up so it requires the car to be lifted even higher, but it's a bit easier to work on when it's out.
