Ok on wide open throttle I have black smoke. It's not alot but enough to make exhaust tips turn black. It also has spark knock. When I put 93 plus octane booster it goes away. I have Nitrous on the car but bottles have been empty for 2 months. They pulled alot of timing out of the car for the nitrous. Is it just the tune or do I have big problems??
The next problem I have is a broken motor mount. I have the new mount to put in on Monday. I had someone ask me if I had pushed the car hard with the mount broken. He said I may have broken more things then. Is he trying to rip me off or is he correct.
The last problem is my rear was leaking fluid in my garage. I looked under my car and the bolts were on the side were so loose I could turn them with my hand. Is this normal?
With all of my mods no dealer will touch the car so all repairs are on me. I have 43,000 miles on the car. I was going to trade it in and then my wife wanted to keep it for herself. The last thing I need is for her and my child to be left on the side of the road.

rear end is NOT normal.... the dealer should deal with this (just pull the nitrous bottles). Also might want to change the fluids in the rear.
Black smoke might be the tune... especially if the booster helps.. I would pull it back a notch if you dont want your kids stranded (nevermind the wife... just kidding)
Oh, motor mounts are "somewhat normal" and have been reported... Other things could be messed up, but you never know. what is your friend saying is broken due to the motor mounts?

Whats up D,why don't you just do a pull or 2 on your car and see if your tunes ok?Wheres Parker? Why no write up on his new diff? You seen him D?
Man TX you haven't posted in forever and now all this. Not fun I know. I'll say what a lot of guys are thinking first - You ran the hell out of this thing with NO2 and so now you get to pay for the play. I know, I've been there. Now that that's out of the way. Let's get to fixin'.
The black smoke definitely sounds like the tune. Can you get your PCM flashed back to stock? Maybe Stealth can lend a hand here. The motor mount can't be that bad, parts, labor? Maybe Lindsay can chime in. The diff', hopefully is just the loose bolts and will clear itself up. If there's no cracks in the case, no excessive noise, etc. you may be OK. Just swap the fluid, tighten everything down and be done with it.

Just got back from under the beast and bolts are as tight as I can get them now. I'm going to get fluid changed while they fix the mount. He was telling me the drive shaft could get broken. If there is a way to flash the PCM back to stock and start all over on the tune they would be better than waiting three weeks for the local shop to get around to it. I have been adding NOS octane booster which states it add 6 points to make it 99. When this is done no knock and no smoke but at $10 a can it cost to much.
Parker posted all about the rear on the other website. Not sure why not here, but if mods will let me I could copy some of it and post it here. Parker told me last time I saw him that something was loose on his car as well.
I hope I did not do major damage to the engine. I only have a 100HP shot on it and have been empty for last 2 months. Just to lazy to fill them up. Oh and Randy I set it up with twin polished bottles and it looks great.

Octane boost does not get you 6 points but instead decimal POINT 6.
Leaking exhaust would cause O2s to report incorrectly and over time cause O2s to carbon up
O2s maximum life is 30,000 miles, after that they get too lazy and report incorrectly and cause the AFR to be wrong.
I do custom PCM tuning and there is no need to be yanking a bunch of timing out, a few degrees at most. I use only 91 octane gas, my '99 Corvette's LS1 engine is 11.3:1 compression and puts out 475 RWHP and with 150 shot N2O is close to 600 RWHP and with proper PCM tune still pulls about 24 degree timing at WOT with very little knock
If engine burns some oil then there could be carbon buildup in cylinders and piston tops, the more there is the more ping there is and higher octane is needed
Decarb engine to clean and then best case is use a water/meth injection which will keep carbon from building up and less octane then is needed
100 shot is nothing for the PCM itself would adjust but a big common mistake is spaying N2O before the MAF rather then best is right before the throttlebody

I do spray right before the throttlebody.
So you say replace the o2's? I think the V has 4! I know the two rear are dummies because of no cats. I think that is what they told me.
What does decarb the engine mean? and were do I do a water/meth injection? I'm in way over my head at this point.

Do a compression check. :thepan:
