Other than a dealer, does any one know where to buy main and rod bearings for a 2004 4.6L? Will 2002 bearings work?

I don't know the answer but that's a damn odd question. What the heck happened to an 04 that it needs bearings.

I second Codewizes question. The need to replace bearings is almost unheard of.

I am building a higher output engine and I have different expensive connecting rods, so since I would use new bod bearings I might as well replace the mains too.

Are you using the Eagle H-beam rods? I think those are the same one's CHRFab uses. You might want to give them a call, seeing as how they specialize in high-output N* motors for Sandrails and the like. chrfab (http://www.chrfab.com). They have alot of go-fast parts you might be interested in. Just curious, what type of car is it going into?
