ok.. my original setup was a 4 guage wire from the battery to my capacitor then to my amp.. i am switching up my sub setup and redoing some stuff in my truck.. i was to put my ps2 under the rear seats.. my question is I was thinking of running the 4 guage wire from the battery then using a power distributor so that i can have 1 4 guage in and then have 2 4 guage holes out.. i was thinking of using one hole for a 4 guage wire to the amp and then the other hole for my power invertor, instead of tapping the the 4 guage wire by cutting a splicing.. my question is do i put the power distibutor before or after the cap... or is this setup not a good idea? thanks
You should wire the cap before the distributer, this will ensure that your cap is fully utalized.

here is another idea for you. if you get remote control for your PS2, you can programm it to your factory steering wheel controls, with PAC steering wheel interface SWI-V you can make your steering wheel control dual function. or any other your aftermarket devices here is the info on this piece.
The SWI-V converts the steering wheel radio buttons to 'DUAL' multipurpose controls. The SWI-V allows control of an aftermarket Audio/Video system using the vehicle’s factory steering wheel radio controls, while maintaining normal control and operation of the factory stereo. The interface will control most audio and video products that have an IR remote control. A remote IR emitter attaches to the front of the Audio/Video IR window. The SWI-V solves the problem of lost remotes in a vehicle and it allows the driver to control the video system without taking his/her hands off the wheel or eyes off the road.

Absolutely no! Do not put your cap before the distribution block! The cap is only there for one purpose, to provide deep cycle quick response power to the amp when the alternator can't handle the demand of loud bass. The cap will do absolutely no good for the inverter. Also, you want the leads from the cap to the amp to be as short as physically possible. (of course asthetics matters too, but being reasonable.) The idea is to have the shortest distance necessary for the current to travel from the cap to the amp to hit those power spikes and boost the power fast enough to keep the subs beating instead of distorting or cutting out. The best solution would be a cap that physically connects to the power leads of the amp, but that's not practical and it would look odd.
Put the cap on the amp side of the power block and leave the PS2 put of the equation.
