i ordered the motor mount a mouth ago from Cadillac for a couple of dollars and they said i should get it Friday. I called on friday they said it's on back order, I waited one friday more, and i call today and they said it coming from Detriot and the part number changed! So does this mean it's a newly construced motor mount? i hope so? anybody know?:annoyed:

I would like to also know. I have the same problem with my mount but it's my tranny mount that needs to be replaced.
The dealer that I use to go thought they could take advantage of me because of my age and apparently I didn't know what I was talking about.

Please clarify something for me: Why would you pay for a new motor mount when these cars eat through them like Getrag diffs? :)

i still have warranty, but i'm the type of person who can't sleep at night not knowing if the bolts are tight, i like knowing it was done the best way i could. you get what i mean, i like to do things myself. i hate dealers, where they see the V come in to the dealer ship and there day takes a turn for the best. the best test drive ever! it's a cheap mount anyway, well dealer cost. i just got the mount today so when i can free up a lift "i'll get her done." they say 4 hrs to do it "omg"

anyone know if its new and improved? thats what they took me.

You don't have to drop the frame.
It's hard to get up in there but all you really have to do is support the engine and get the nuts and bolts off.
It just takes some time.
