What kind of cleaners are you using to clean your rims? A local do-it-yourself wash has an engine degreaser, could I use that to spray the rims down? Its my first set of 24's and I want to take some pix before the snow hits. Thanks

Mothers Chrome Cleaner
:yeah: I use the exact same stuff. It's great!
Thanks.
Should I be spray with water and soap first to get most of the gunk off?
It depends on your wheel finish. If you wheels are clear coated (painted or polished) you want to treat them like the paint on your truck, wash them with a good car wash, if they still are not clean you can clay them, or use a mild paint cleanser/swirl remover, and then use your favorite "wax" on them (synthetic waxes will last 5 times longer than carnauba waxes) If they are chrome wash them with a good car wash, if they are still dirty use a chrome polish like Mother's, once clean a good "wax" will keep them easier to clean and looking good longer.

The most common place (and the dirtiest) that people look over when maintaining their rims is behind the spokes. This looks especially bad on the bling bling 24 chromies. This tool: http://autodetailingsolutions.com/product_X-1160.gif will allow anybody who can bend over to easily clean their wheels. It can be bought at any fine retailer selling meguiars products or through the meguiars website.
