I need some suggestions... Where should I put the subs so that I can fully use the midgate feature? I'd prefer to make something myself but if I have to buy a JL Audio Stealthbox I will. I hear they are real expensive though.

I built a box and put it in the drivers rear quarter. It basically sits where the factory sub would sit, and then I put the amps under my middle captain chairs. Sounds good without being exposed. This way no one can see them.

Your options in an ext are these...

1) Dual 10 inch prefabricated box that fits under the rear seats of the EXT perfectly.. These can be found on ebay and run for about 100-125 shipped..

2) 1 10inch prefabricated box that goes under the rear driver seat of the EXT

3) Prefabricated box that attaches to the midgate and holds 2 10's.. can be found on ebay... it is very similar to the next box..

4) Probox Rocks box that attaches to the midgate of the ext/avlanche.. Hold's 2 10inch Earthquake shallow mount subs.. these are bout 600 shipped maybe a little more

5) JL audio stealthbox - new can cost anywhere from 1000-1400 depending where you get it.. used you will spend about 800

6) Custom midgate box - I have one.. it replaces the midgate.. unlike the stealthbox you can no longer fold down the midgate since the midgate is totally removed... mine is custom with 3 12inch subs..

Personally I have a custom box as stated in the 6th option.. i love it.. great bass and all but i am using the stock system and have no plans on upgrading any of the speakers.... I am probably going to sell my custom box and just use the underseat box that i have... my current box which is pictured below that replaces the midgate runs about 1200w rms.. so if you are interested and live near NJ i may be selling it..

I'm in Philly so I'm close enough bit I want to use something that gives me full use of the midgate feature so I can use the whole bed...
