I have a 98 STS with trouble codes listed below.

C1716 R front dampener short to ground
C1743 Speed signal Fault
C1780 Loss of steering position signal
C1783 ICCS2 L output short circuit signal
C1785 ICCS2 R output short circuit signal

I was wondering if anyone knew what more specifically is wrong and/or where the speed sennsor is at or where the steering postion sensor is? I assume they are all related to one problem because they all came on at the same time.

Also I have code U1255 Serial Data LIne Malfunction
Am I going to have to replace my EBCM and does anyone know where it is?

What I would do is clear all your codes and drive the car a few miles. Check the codes again.

You are looking for repeat codes as opposed to codes that could have been set in error.

Those are the codes that have been cleared and come back several times.

Those five codes all have one module in common and that is the CVRSS box. Located behind the rear seat cushion on the right hand side of the car.

I would check back there for damaged wiring or a loose, corroded, or damaged connector.
