Hi guys,

Ive been searching the threads on replacing the water pump on my on my 1994 sls. But i can't seem to find anything on how to,,,hehe....I have the tool but now i need some quick instructions.

Drain the system.
Remove the drive belt.
Remove the cover.
Use the tool to remove the pump. Remember it is cam locked not threaded so it will only take 1/8 - 1//4 turn to loosen it. Remove clockwise and install counter clockwise. Also I believe that the locking tabs need to be indexed a certain way, so take a close look at the tab positions as it is removed and install the new one the same way.

Also about the waterpump......

DO NOT over tighten, when you install counter-clockwise! The tabs will flaten out, and spin passed the stops! ( A breaker bar is usually used on the special socket, and the leverage may make it "easy" to use too much muscle)

Also Cadillac recomends you use a good grease behind the pump @ the tabs, so your pump doesn't corrode / rust at the seating-tab area.
