hey guys, couple of questions....im starting to do the stereo in my sts and i want to know, definitively, what i need to do (harness or not) to take out my stock h/u? its a 2000 with bose, but no onstar. and, the door chimes come from the dash speakers. i will not be using any stock components, i just need it to not throw codes after i yank out the h/u.

also, i need to replace the dash speakers; how do i take the dash pad off of these cars?

You always need a wiring harness. That's basically all you need and you need to run your own memory wire but that is about it.

Not sure on removing dash, there is topic on it though, use the search feature.
