Seville owners: I recently had a brake failure in my 82,000 mi. '98 STS. Fortunately no harm was done except to my wallet.

I backed my car out the garage and noticed a puddle under where the right rear wheel was. The puddle was brake fluid. I backed the car up on some ramps, traced the leak, and found that the steel brake line to the right rear wheel was touching the rear sway bar mounting bracket. This contact had worn a hole through the steel brake line. There was no bracket to hold the line away from the sway bar bracket.

You may want to inspect your car to make sure the brake line is not contacting the sway bar bracket or other hard points. If it is contacting get the brake line repolaced!
