Hi,

Since the dashpad in my '79 Coupe de Ville has the usual rips in the vinyl and the only other '77 '79 De Ville I could find for parts is also damaged I was wondering if I could just put in the dashpad from a '80-'92 FWB?
What are the differences in the dashpads between these earlier and later years?

I replaced my 77 Coupe's dash pad with one from a 89 Fleetwood Brougham and a spare from a similar vintage Brougham. The grain and everything was the same and I just had it dyed to match. The price? Next to nothing. I got 2 of the dashpads from the junkyard for less than $20. Sold the spare to a guy for $100. Don't remember how much it cost to dye but it wasn't that expensive.
