Hi,
Does anyone have a dash pad for my '93 Fleetwood Brougham. It's cracked nastily.
Alternatively is there a repair fix? and how do you remove it, especially without setting off the airbag?
many thanks all

I could use a dark blue one also for my 94 Fleetwood. I have a dash cover on it now.

Hi downsouth407,
What's the dash cover look like for the '93-96 FWBs - is it a fabric cover or pard plastic?
cheers!

They're usually a carpet like material or velour.
You can find a lot of used dash OEM dash tops/pads here:
Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market (http://www.car-part.com/)
For your cars, just search for '93 or '94 Cadillac Fleetwood (1980 Up), then Dash Panel, RWD, and you'll get 3 pages of results from different salvage yards across the country. Some a pretty pricey, some listings are for the complete dash and not just the pad, but there are also several blue pads. Call them up, whoever it is, and it's usually pretty easy from there.
Then again, it's probably as issue with you being in Ireland, Nick, as they probably wouldn't want to ship such a large used part overseas...but you never know.
In that case, I'd still recommend simply a dash cover like this:
Dashmats4less - Authorized Original Dash Mat Cover (http://www.dashmats4less.com/dash_mats.html)
Several companies make them, there's different "grades" of them, and they're usually very good as far as fitting and color. And a nice, cheap way to cover up ugly cracks and prevent anymore damage.

Thanks Caddycruiser,
My brother's in Seattle and working for Menzies Aviation cargo so I hope shipping shouldn't be too difficult. Otherwise I'll just have to fly over and get it!
I also need some dark blue floormats for the '93 FWB and would prefer OEM. Do you have any leads on these. ACC doesn't do them I found out.
Cheers.

Nick -
Mouse up to the CLASSIFIED section.
When you get there, look to the right side of your monitor.
There you will find a small bit with FLOOR MATS
Mouse it!
Up will pop all kind of floor mats for all kinds of Cadillacs.
You may scroll down until you come to FLEETWOOD, and see that you will be pinched for about $90.00, US or so.
Happy hunting.
I must have answered the wrong post!
I guess I moused over the wrong line or something.
Sorry!

I ordered my velvor (sp?) cover from Wal-Mart of all places. It was around $25 and looks good. It has slits for the pass airbag and cut outs for the side window air vents.

Nick -
I suppose I am extremely lucky to have that "dance floor" of a dashboard top in such perfect condition on my 1995 FWB. It must be due to the car having been garaged all its life and/or having had an inside windshield cover installed whenever parked during the day simply to prevent the heat buildup that occurs in the summer.
But I wonder what would happen if you took the car to a GOOD worker in leather. I mean something like a saddlery, where a good hide could be dyed and fitted in place and glued down over the existing dashboard top.
I got to thinking of this after spending the afternoon with some friends who are crazy about horses and the fellow who has the farm where the horses are kept rides around on his horse tending the farm 24/7/365.
That saddle is exposed to the elements 24/7/365 and its made out of leather!
Yes, he's covering mostof it, but not the substantial part behind him where the sun beats down on it full blast while he's minding the stock.
Even inside a car, that leather will be behind glass which automatically cuts some of the UV rays which do damage.
Any possibilities here?
