I've had laryngitis and therefore could not talk so I've been off of here, but I am getting better and am now able to reply. :)

Nothing is new here. With partner we are launching a new business, and it's taking off faster than we can manage it, which is good, but we cannot keep up. Most of my attention is on that.

Well good luck with that! You aren't selling your car brochures are you? If you are, you know there's a certain 19 year old in MN that would love to have a lot of them! ;)

What does a voice-related malaise have to do with trouble typing messages?

No, my brochure collection isn't going anywhere >>>> yet. I haven't even gotten any 2007s yet. Been too busy, with personalized Energy Drinks, THE product.

Making the product :stirpot:
Fighting (well not really) with partner: :thepan:
Lets say....disagreements have arisen: :helpless:
Trying to keep it all secret, for a while::shhh:
Having conferences: :crowded:
Learning that sometimes I talk too :canttalk: much:
Meeting the Press: :mob:
Getting the 1st order:
Celebrating: :alchi:
Incorporating at the Lawyer's office: :ripped: :farting:
Deciding that we need to add more: :bling:
Now getting MORE orders than we can handle: :fan:

So, that's it in pictures, and I have little free time.

Dear Sandy:

Sir Sandy is a true Wise Man;
Smart new venture that comes
in bottle or can.

Smacking the partner might do
the trick; but, I'm just glad that
you're not sick.

Business starts with growing pains;
Some days are sunny, and on others
it rains.

I'm pleased to know that there's
no danger.
Just ensure that you're not a stranger.

Yours very truly,

TomDeville:cool2:

Quantity. The problem is quantity. Our manufacturer is making us take too much quantity. We cannot find a mfgr. who will do small(er) runs.

I ask myself, Why the "F" I am doing this. Launching a new (and trying) enterprise at {almost} 60. My son is a CPA and is now earning more than I ever did, selling cars, and has no need for a manufacturing / supply business, laden with headaches .... but the potential is so overwhelming, me & my lifelong friend (well, since we were 16) could not pass it up.

Stupid & dumb (our nicknames) had a pretty much overnight sudden success and the profits thereof allowed me to wipe clean the debt I owed my sons university. My Gawd..... we've hit upon a pot of gold (so we thought).

Now going back and starting at "A" (the beginning) and trying to do it correctly, it's a long & potholed road, filled with frustratiuons. (Still not as hard as selling cars ~ but not too far behind).

Incorporating, costs, costs, and more costs.

We underwrote independant testing of our product. In taste tests our product was chosen over the class leader by a margin of 59% - equall to the leader by 21% and not as good as the leader by 20%.

But we do not sell to the general public. We sell to public & private corporations, in massive quanitites.

Shipping from Europe & temp. storage are problems. Trucking has been a breeze. Shipping & storage a nightmare.

It takes all of my free time. We've done well in ethnic markets in California, and with a certain foreign car corporation from Germany, and with a very huge banana importation corporation.

So....that's whats doing.

We could make up a slim sexy can of energy drink (think "the Bull") with pop top opener, with custom made applied label with the Cadillac Script and Cadillac Owners.Com in a gold metallic script on a black background for $1.37 @ can - - but..... the minimum order is 1,800 cans and THAT THERE has been our problem!! That is OUR suppliers minimum order to us.

We are working on that problem. :kick:

We charge $1.37 @ can - some customers give them away for mementos or advertising. Others (re)sell them @ $ 1.89. Two avenues for them to chose. They are produced for us, overseas, and arrive via plane. We then must have them trucked to their final point. Try trucking 1,800 cans of high energy drink!! Plus, we have to be there when they come thru customs ! :rant2:

We've done a can acknowledging the L.A. area's population that appreciates the wheels that keep on spinning, when the vehicle is stopped. That high energy drink is called "SPINNERZ" and has a spinning chrome wheel on it. It's marketed on the West Coast for (rather than BY) US, by Choee. It's doing very well out there, within the African American & Latino markets.
It's in many convenience stores, I do believe. If I can locate the file with the pic of it I will post it here.

Other than that, I really need to get off of here, and get to bed. We have an appointment to speak with BMW of No. America tomorrow. I wanna look good & not tired out, which is what I really am.
