Hi guys,
91 Brougham Bumper, there is a rubber/plastic piece where the license plate is, and where the fuel tank is.
The piece matches the color of the car, the one in my car is cracked, where can I find and buy and new piece? :hmm:
Is it easy to replace?
Thank you.
Michel :cat:

See how much the dealer wants for it and check junk yards. I don't know how it comes off tho.

I think I know what rubber/plastic (ABS plastic) you are talking about. And I have had all my plastic peices break on my car (cheap shit) and needed to replace them. In order to do any of the plastic peices on the back you need to take off the whole damn bumper (pain in the as*). And for finding replacement parts what I did is went to yahoo and looked up BODY FILLERS is i guess the term for them I wouldn't ever buy a used one because of the quality of the material but I found this website to be a help http://www.actionsalvage.com/Fillers/Bodyfillers80-92deville.asp
http://www.actionsalvage.com/bodyfillers.htm (go to this link if the other doesn't work)
I hope I have helped a little, I wish you the best of luck

You're talking about the plate pocket and the fuel sill. They are plastic and are painted the body color of the car. These will come off without taking the bumper off. The gray piece below is also plastic and comes off only in taking the bumper apart.
The plate pocket/sill is very easy to replace. Take off the license plate holder to reveal the fuel filler neck. Two large bolts on either side of fuel filler neck - remove. Take apart the back-up lights - lenses and bezels off, light housings off. Take off two large bolts in upper corners of the backup light slots. Unhook the taillight wiring. Take apart the license plate light - two screws. Go underneath the rear of the car and take off about 8 or 10 small screws holding the plate pocket and sill onto the rear of the car. Then remove.
Junkyards are the best place to find these. Even if you find one that is in a different color from your car, you can still repaint the new housing. A perfect match in perfect condition is getting harder to find.
You can go aftermarket, but they all come in black and have to be painted.

Hello, Could you please assist me?, I am trying to find the part that this user has mentioned in his comment.
It is the part that goes betwen the license plate and the reverse lights, I should say behind these two.
Thanks for your support.

Are they always painted the color of the car? My car is black and mine was gray. Perhaps my bumper was replaced once before?
