yup. got one similar. My advice though- go to Radioshack and get a 5.6K Ohm or 10K ohm resistor. 5.6 works just fine. Works though- gives much more low end, increases red line to about 6700-6800 RPMs. Good luck ;)

Its really a gimmick though... its tricking the computer by producing false readings from the MAF. It could be harmful, especially if it starts to run rich or too lean.

actually, it's not the MAF that it is confusing- it's the air intake temperature sensor

It's a BS product. As R-Caddy said it works by sending faulty IAT (lower) readings to the PCM which by result advanced the ignition timing slightly. Very soon the PCM will figure out what is occuring and bring the timing back to stock. Result: you just wasted your money and hopefully did not damage your engine in the process through detonation before the timing was pulled back.

Transmission gernaded itself, i thought about puttin a new one in, decided against it, although looking back i should've kept the car, ordereda 5speed from a MV6 in germany and put that in....

I loved that car, but man for how well i took care of it it sure didnt return the favor...its now replaced by an 03 Xterra.

There are no aftermarket parts for this car. so tunning is expensive. but maybe worth it. I love the car. If i had the mv6 tranny i would def be doing some engine mods and maybe universal turbo.
there are no true catera specific chips. the only way to do this is spend some $ and buy a piggy back system that can be custom tuned by a pc. not a bad idea if u were really planning on moding the car out. But i just dont think its worth moding an over weight automatic.
