I have found a 2002 DTS Navigation unit. I have a 2000 DTS with Bose and onstar, but no Navigation. Can I use this 02 Nav unit in my 00 DTS? Is it just plug and play? Just curious to know before I buy it and realize I can't use it, or what features I can use and the ones I can't. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

no its not plug and play
heavy modification is needed to do this. im an audio expert and it took me several days to install a factory navi into a no navi car, and im still not done yet.
even when i have it installed i wont have any use of voice navigation

its best to install an aftermarket if you want that but i wanted to do factory because im subborn and i know what im doing when it comes to wireing

not to mention you dont have the little black plug that goes into the system as well...

So, will it not work at all? Will it even play the DVD and radio and stuff? Just curious as to whether it will not work completely or some features won't work such as the GPS part of it. Thanks

no. its not plug and play, you must rewire and move around wires to get it to work at all. you must additionally run several new wires in order to get the navi part of it to work. your cars prewired for the cdrom navi system that has three parts
