baynews9.com - News : Large earthquake in Gulf of Mexico (http://www.baynews9.com/content/36/2006/9/10/181623.html)

Not only Hurricanes, Yep thats right Earthquakes.
You know how we always told you, We will take a hurricane anyday over living in California because of the no warning of a earthquake. Yep, we can't say that anymore.

6.0 Earthquake. Great another reason for them to increase our home owners insurance here in Florida.
Oh and Sal you need another web site.

Speaking of insurance. I'm going to Citizens. My current policy went from 2k a year to 5300.00! Screw that. Citizens is 2k cheaper and supposed the insurer of last resort. My house payment has risen 800.00 of the last year because of escrow short falls due to insurance cost.

agreed, although SA > houston :highfive: ;)

My yearly house insurance is 697, full replacement value.

We have no tornados, no strong 'canes, no quakes....hell it doesnt even rain. Well, maybe once a year when you get 10 inches and it floods a bit :want:

And its cheap. Come on over boombotz :) :bouncy:

I felt it this morning... i was lying on my bed and i the bed started shaking. Now, as I have lived in SoCal for many years I knew it felt like an earthquake but then I was like... "I live in florida now...WTF" I got up, shook my bed to make sure it wasnt falling apart, laid back down and tossed it up to me freaking out and feeling something that never happened.

Couple hours later the phone rings and I found out it was an earthquake. Freaky. If it had caused a tsunami they said it would have reached where I live in little more than a couple of minutes.

Not really.

There has to be a breach in the sea floor. Even if this 6.0 would have raised the sea floor we could have had a tsunami. Being that this was a "mid-plate" earthquake it didnt happen...thank god!

So people in Florida would rather have a hurricane over an earthquake? Isnt there a huricane out there ever 2 months? Out here in Cali we barely get earthquakes... I think we had a teazer about a month ago but other then that we havent had shit since 89

Wow... 6.0? That's a pretty good one!

We get a lot of quakes over here but it's been a while since we've had a 6 or bigger. Last month we had a 5.3 though.

I'ld go for the hurricanes over earthquakes anyday.

We have advanced notice of hurricanes, you have none for earthquakes. I was in Cali in 89,... no thanks.

........Well.... you guys may as well move on over now, then you can eliminate at least one pesky natural disaster!

We have earthquakes far less then you have hurricanes.... or the ones we have are of such little consequence that they are forgettable 10 minutes after they happen.....

Oh, I know, every now and then we get one that rattles a few cages or knocks an old building or two down but that doesn't happen every year.

Everything has "to do" with strip clubs, women, and sex. The average man has a sexual thought once every 14 seconds. We also experience 17 erections in our sleep every night.

Hahahahaaha is that really true though, honestly? I mean there are days where sex is on my mind A LOT and other days where it doesn't seem to be at all. But do you guys really have a sexual thought every 14 seconds of every day?! 17 erections during the night? I didn't know it was that many! Not full on ones right?!
