I have a 1988 CoupeDeville and the Climate control(Digital) stopped working. tried pushing the buttons many times nothing. nothing lights up nothing works on it. the fuel data and information center work. so i just think that i have to replace the whole Climate Control unit. but I can't get the plastic wood trim off. how the hell do you do it. I removed the small panel under the sterring wheel. and the 2 screws but after that i'm lost! Please help!!!

Hopefully you have a T15 handy.
Ok, remove the twol smaller sides on the dash abd the uncovers more screws for that main piece that covers the climate control and the FDC and such and after that its just held in with a couple more torx screws and a harness.

Ok thank you but now how do i remove the two smaller sides which i think you are talking about the cruise control and such right? T15?
I have an 87 Brougham and they way I accessed mine was to remove the two side screws (easy) Then the top two are behind the two air vents at the top.
Take a screwdriver and gently pull the two tabs (black plastic) on the inside of the vents inward.....that will allow you to pull those out.
Maybe not the same....might help ya tho.

Yes. You will see the screws pretty easily.

In the black rectangular trim surrounding the little "window" for the Twilight sentinel and cruise switches feel along the top. Theres a screw there in at about a 45 deg angle in that black piece.
