,,that emblem on top of the beauty cover is a centre cap from a late model Deville rim. When I first got the car I swapped out all the wreath/crest emblems onthe car with the newer arts and science ones, as I prefer their updated look. You can get the caps on Ebay and actually, the new centre caps are full colour, so it may be replaced with one of those. The only traditional emblem left on my car is the one carved out of the plastic cover on the steering wheel and if I can find one of the coloured newer horn emblems to replace it, I will.

This one is a temp mod anyway, I planned to embed it in the beauty cover over the winter - another small task to take up my time.

Frost you old smoothie, that is a really good idea, by the looks of that really filthy engine compartment (lol) you missed a spot on the bottom of the oil filler cap.. You should put a mirror under your hood, that compartment gleams...

Yeah CA-100, no detailer like an old detailer, eh? I honed my anal-compulsive cleaning skills on a '72 Mustang showcar that eventually sold at RM Auctions in Toronto last Spring. I was happy with the price, as it was the highest dollar brought in for a '72 coupe that they had ever seen. Now I wish I hadn't sold it, but what the Hell -

Cleaning the engine bay is only a big issue once - the first time you do it. After that, maintaining it is fairly straightforward.

thx again for the compliment. Someone on here painted the outline of the "Cadillac" moniker in silver - that is embedded in the soundproofing sheet under the hood. Now THAT looked cool!

tkae care,
